Frequently Asked Questions

What is Canditto?

The Canditto Kiosk is a patent-pending device that makes copies of the digital pictures taken at events. Is Canditto for weddings only? Absolutely not! Canditto is suitable anywhere there are lots of smiles and at least a handful of cameras. The kiosk has been rented for bar and bat mitzvahs, private parties, school reunions, summer camps and outdoor charity events.

Will Canditto invade my guests' privacy?

No. Canditto is programmed to copy photos taken in the last 8 hours only. Existing, old photos on the card will not be copied, viewed, or accessed in any way.

What happens to the pictures on my guests' memory card?

The Canditto Kiosk does not alter the data on guests' memory cards in any way. We have never once damaged a guest's card.

How does the Canditto get to my event?

Candittos are sent directly to hosts or to a designated "Can-doer" who takes delivery and manages the process. They are as easy to use as a table lamp -- just plug it in the wall.

When are the photos delivered?

Canditto's keepsake thumbdrives are available immediately after the reception.

How much space does a Canditto have?

Canditto's thumb drives hold about 3,500 photos, enough for most event.  If they should fill up completely, there's a backup hard drive to collect the overflow.

Can I buy a Canditto Kiosk?

No, Canditto Kiosks are available for rental only, but event professionals can lease a Canditto.  Find out how.

How is Canditto better than disposable cameras or online photo albums?

View our benefits comparison page.

How do I make the most of my Canditto Kiosk rental?

Invite your guests to bring their digital cameras (most do anyway), and remind them to use the Canditto Kiosk before they leave.  We also include a script for your DJ to read.

Does Canditto replace professional photographers?

That's up to you! If your guests are experienced photographers committed to taking archive-quality photos, Canditto might be all you need. Otherwise, the photos Canditto collects are excellent complements to those taken by a paid professional.

Canditto seems expensive. How do I know I'm getting good value?
  1. A single Canditto rental spans one week, so you'll be able to use it at your rehearsal dinner, wedding reception and even your Sunday brunch, if you have one -- all for the same cost.
  2. Though it may be a little more expensive than buying disposable cameras and getting the photos processed, consider that Candittos typically gather more than 500 photos. The cost per photo is often 70% cheaper with Canditto than with disposable cameras, and you get better pictures right away.
What are Canditto's specifiations and power requirements

Canditto units are approximately 8" w x 6"d x 8"h and weigh about 6 lbs. They require 120VAC, 50 watts at peak power.

Is Canditto available everywhere?

It's available anywhere in North America. Contact us to discuss international use of a Canditto.
